ChefsThis is definitely a gastronomical treat! The University of Southern Nevada will present its third annual Chefs, Wines & Spirits Too from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas.

This dining experience, sponsored by The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas, begins with mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres and exotic cocktails by Castle Brands. Guests will then be treated to a five-course culinary adventure prepared by Chefs Todd Williams of Bradley Ogden at Caesar’s Palace,  Ryan Talifero of The Ritz-Carlton, Lee Rizzo of Morton’s The Steakhouse, Don Espaniola of Intimate Fine Dining, Bernard Tordjman of Bernard’s Bistro by the Lake and Chris Hanmer, The Ritz-Carlton’s award-winning pastry chef. Each dinner course will be served with select wine pairings by Veramonte Winery followed by dessert paired with Chambord by Brown-Forman.

Back by popular demand, this year’s event will feature table designs by Southern Nevada’s top florists. Guests will have the opportunity to view a variety of artistic creations and vote for their favorite. Entertainment will be provided by Tim Boatman.

Seating for this special event is limited and reservations are required. Cost to attend is $145 per person, $250 per couple or $1,250 for a table of 10. Each guest will receive a table gift as well a complementary cookbook featuring the evening’s chefs, restaurants, recipes and wine pairings.

Proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit the university’s on-going community outreach projects, such as USN health festivals offering free health screenings and information to the Southern Nevada community.

To make reservations contact Barbara Wood, USN’s director of university relations, at 702-968-2055 or bwood@usn.edu.
