Interested in learning more about USN’s truly unique educational philosophies?
Here’s your chance. The university will present “USN 101” at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 at its Henderson, Nev. campus (2 p.m. at its South Jordan, Utah campus). Presented by Dr. Renee Coffman, dean of USN’s College of Pharmacy and co-founder of the university, the event will showcase the philosophy, principles, processes, implementation, outcomes of the USN’s Block Curriculum format of teaching.
Guests will receive a detailed overview of this pioneering teaching system, which allows students to master course content, one subject at a time, and promotes high levels of competency. Students do not receive grades; instead they must pass each block (course) with a 90 percent or higher. Essentially, all of USN’s students graduate with a 4.0 grade point average. The result are graduates exceeding national pass rates on board exams, particularly in the area of pharmacy where graduates have consistently scored among the top in the entire nation.
Learn more about how USN incorporates Experiential Learning into its academic programs and how the institution encourages lifelong learning and student support of their peers through team teaching by creating an environment in which students gain valuable communication and presentation skills to help them achieve professional success.
